Top 10 Small Business Blog Features – FAQ

Much like an About Me page, a FAQ page is a great way to reinforce your marketing messages. By answering your prospects most-asked questions, you make it easier for them to make a decision about your business saving both of you valuable time.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of this important page, keep in mind how your products or services solve the issues raised in the FAQ. Use keyword anchor text links to your other pages and integrate them with well-crafted explanations that answer questions in a positive and consistent manner that coincides with your overall marketing plan. Always keep your long-term goals in mind when crafting any page, even the oft forgotten FAQ page.

As your business grows and changes, so will the questions your prospects have about your company. If you notice an increase in a particular customer inquiry, add it to the list and craft an answer that leaves the reader feeling confident that your product or service will solve their needs. In today’s attention economy, there’s not much worse than outdated information. Update and edit older questions that can use a face lift more congruent with the growth of your company. Far too many webmasters allow their FAQ pages to become stale and outdated, a sure way to lose any trust that you are serious about details and keeping your messages current.
