Prospective clients often have questions they’d like answered before partnering with Prevail. Below, you will find answers to the most common questions we hear.
1. What marketing services do you provide?
Prevail custom creates marketing plans for your business, which we then give to you for approval. The marketing plan will have a detailed marketing strategy that will explain the services we will provide you over the term of the contract. These services will include creating email campaigns and a web presence, writing sales copy, press releases, newsletters, direct mailings and advertising copy, developing branding and identity, securing radio, television and print advertising, development of referral, affiliate and loyalty programs and more depending on your business.
2. How long are your contracts?
In March of 2007, Prevail transitioned from a retainer fee/hourly rates policy to a mainly “Increase Your Income Or Don’t Pay” policy. In order to give Prevail adequate time to turn your business into a money making machine, we have developed our commitments to last 12 months, an adequate length of time to “Increase Your Income” drastically.
3. What do you guarantee exactly?
We guarantee that we will “Increase Your Income“, or you don’t pay. No small print, simple as that.
4. How do you calculate whether or not you have met the guarantee?
By reviewing your company’s revenue reports, we use your gross sales from the previous 12 month period benchmarks for the next 12 month period. If after the term of the contract we have not increased your net income from the benchmark, we have not met our guarantee and you are not obligated to pay one cent. For companies with less than 12 months of previous revenue reports, a projected gross sales benchmark that we mutually agree upon is used.
5. What happens at the end of the contract and you have met your guarantee?
If at the end of the term of the contract we have met out guarantee, we offer our clients two options. The first allows the client to move on to one of our competitors or perform their own marketing services (as always), and the second allows our clients to resign with Prevail and take advantage of our services for another year.
6. What is expected of your clients each month you have met your guarantee?
At the end of any successful month in which we “Increase Your Income“, a 25% payment of your total increased net income is expected within 30 days of that month’s end. In all honesty, our goal is to “Increase Your Income” from the agreed upon benchmarks for 12 consecutive months and collect 12 such 25% payments.
Benchmarks are for increased net income because there will be expenses for each client, however, all costs must gain prior approval from the client. Clients are completely responsible for all payments of third party services, such as advertising costs, materials and shipping. Receipts for any third party efforts are included in monthly updates to clients to assure them they are getting the price charged and that Prevail PR is not making a profit on outside services. Other than that, sit back and watch your business grow.
7. How are payments for successful campaigns to be made? Upon completion of each month’s services, we expect client’s to supply a full sales report to compare with that month’s benchmark. If it is determined that our services have indeed increased your income over and above the agreed upon benchmark, an invoice will be sent to the client for 25% of the increased net income for that month. For clients who are unable or do not want to make a single payment, we have developed 2, 4 and 6 month payment plans with staggered interest rates, though clients can usually see evidence of growth early on and so have the time to plan accordingly to make the one time payment and avoid added fees.
8. Can clients sign a contract for a third year?
We offer third-year contracts on a case-by-case basis. Even with Prevail performing your marketing services, it’s not possible to “Increase Your Income“ forever. Companies that still have attractive room for growth are contacted before their second-year contract has expired and offered another year of services at the 25% rate.
9. What about clients who do not meet your requirements for a third-year contract?
We are committed to always standing behind our clients. For clients who do not meet the requirements for a third-year contract, we offer a custom package of services at a competitive monthly rate so they can continue to take advantage of our proven services if they choose.
10. Are clients free to use other services concurrently with those of Prevail?
We want our clients to maintain as much control over their businesses as possible and welcome them to retain the services of one of our competitors or perform marketing services on their own at any time if they feel it will make their business better. We advise clients to use tracking codes and other benchmarks with these services so that Prevail can determine what portion of your net income is the result of our services and remind clients they are under contract with Prevail for a 12 month period.
11. Do you offer services to brand new companies with no previous revenue reports?
Absolutely. We are committed to helping all new and small businesses we believe in. In order to meet the needs of brand new businesses, we have designed a package specifically for them. Details of your business are discussed and a gross sales benchmark is agreed upon. If the benchmark is not met, the new business client is not obligated to pay a penny.
On the other hand, if we do meet the benchmark, a payment option identical to those offered to our other clients is made. New business clients are then free to move on to a competitor or sign a second-year contract and take advantage of the same 25% rate.
12. Can clients meet with Prevail staff personally? While we have staff and clients across the United States, Prevail has no central offices in order to keep overhead to an absolute minimum, and therefore does not meet personally with clients. While email and IM are our preferred methods of client contact, clients are free to request and schedule a phone call from our staff. In the event a client’s concerns still have not been answered, a video chat can be requested and scheduled with Prevail’s CEO, Aaron Emerson.
13. How can you afford to offer your services for RISK FREE?
There are two main reasons we are able to offer our services RISK FREE. First of all, we receive revenue from clients that signed with us previous to transitioning to our “Increase Your Income Or Don’t Pay” policy. These clients pay for services on a monthly basis, and despite premium prices, stick around because of the growth their businesses have experienced while being our partner.
Thanks to feedback from clients and prospects, we took the opportunity in March 2007 to transition to the more desirable “Increase Your Income“ model. 2007 may become our lowest earning year ever, or it could become our best earning year. It all depends on our performance, but we believe in ourselves as much as we believe in you.
We also minimize our costs by eliminating office space (no overhead), limiting our client contact and dedicated customer service to email and instant messaging (reducing paper and telephone costs), continually improving our marketing services (thereby increasing the amount of satisfied clients we retain), specializing in the lowest cost and greatest return on investment methods (making everyone involved more money), capitalizing on referrals (reducing our own marketing costs) and paying our agents through incentives and commission rather than straight salary (increasing the quality of their work, as well as reducing payroll costs).
14. What are the advantages of your “Increase Your Income Or Don’t Pay” policy?
In order for a new or small business to market themselves correctly, they either have to hire their own qualified marketing staff or retain a professional firm like Prevail. Unfortunately, this usually requires a large amount of money up front. In the case of hiring your own marketing team, it requires an expensive location and hiring process, a salary upwards of $50,000 a year for each member and the privilege of repeating the process if the team doesn’t live up to your standards.
In the event you would rather outsource your marketing needs to a professional firm, there is a large lump sum due upfront to retain them (often thousands of dollars) and expensive hourly fees in excess of $125/hour. In either case, a high-interest loan or a business partner that will absorb up to half of your company for life is needed and there is absolutely no guarantee of positive results.
With Prevail’s “Increase Your Income Or Don’t Pay” policy, there are absolutely NO retainer fees, NO hourly fees, NO loss of ownership and depending on how you decide to pay, NO interest charges. And to top it off, you don’t even have to pay if we don’t “Increase Your Sales“, a guarantee no other company is willing to make. Lastly, you are only paying a percentage of extra income we help you earn, so in a sense, you never pay at all.
15. What are the disadvantages of your “Increase Your Sales Or Don’t Pay” policy?
With the good comes the bad. If you are the type that would rather pay loads of money upfront on unguaranteed goods or prefer paying exorbitant hourly fees, then Prevail is probably not the partner for you. Similarly, if you’d rather take out a high-interest loan or sell off half your company to pay for professional marketing services, be our guest.
Honestly, the biggest complaint we used to get was the high cost of our hourly services. Since transitioning to the “Increase Your Income Or Don’t Pay“ policy, the most common complaint we have yet to resolve is the inability to sign a third or fourth year contract. When we figure out how to keep increasing our clients’ sales forever, we”ll find the solution to that problem, as well. In the meantime, our clients will have to live with 24 consecutive months of increased income. Sorry.
16. What other packages do you offer?
